MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS


OATH - All association members must take and obey the oath:

I solemnly swear that as a member of the Road Flyers Riding Association I will act in a way that brings credit upon the Road Flyers Riding Associations name and its other members, that I will abide by the Association rules and pay all dues in a timely manner, that I will treat other members and associates with dignity and respect. I will keep Road Flyers Riding Association business within the association and I will protect and honor Road Flyers Riding Association.


MEMBERSHIP - All members will obey Road Flyers Riding Association rules, pay dues in a timely manner, members will attend meetings, rallies, runs, fundraisers and club functions if at all possible.

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP – Must be sponsored by a member in good standing, attend association functions for a minimum of 3 months, must get a 90% “YES” vote from the Road Flyers Riding Association board members.

GUESTS – must be invited by a Road Flyers Riding Association member or associate member. They must be aware that they may be required to pay a small fee to attend certain functions (ie: annual party or other Road Flyers Riding Association sponsored event) all guests must obey association rules and policies. Member or associate member is responsible for the conduct of their guests.


CODE OF ETHICS – All Road Flyers Riding Association must act in a way that brings credit and public approval to Road Flyers Riding Association name and its members and associates.

APPLICATION/INFORMATION – All members and associate members must fill out an application and sign a release prior to riding with the association. All members and associates are required to keep updated contact information on file with the association secretary.

DUES – Members and associate members will pay the cost of their patches and monthly   dues. Dues pay for club mailings, supplies, and some club functions.
Single members: 25.00 per month
Couples: 35.00 per month 
Registration fee: 50.00 patches
Returned check fee: 25.00

PATCHES – Patches represent Road Flyers Riding Association and should be worn with pride. They are to be kept clean and in good condition. Should a patch need repair or replacement, members are to contact the Secretary immediately. Patches are issued by the Association, and will remain property of Road Flyers Riding Association. They will be surrendered upon withdrawal from the association or upon request from the board members.

RULES AND REGULATIONS:
A.No fighting.
B.No stealing.
C.Patch to be worn by road flyers riding association members and associate members only.
D.No intoxicants before or during meetings.
E.Road flyers riding association must ride and remain in a staggered fashion.
F.Road flyers riding association must respect all rules of the road.
G.For the safety of others Trike riders and new riders will remain to the back of the pack.



CLUB STRUCTURE

Chairman – Conducts meetings, provides direction and ideas, handles the press and emergencies.

Vice Chairman – Assists the Chairman, and is in charge if Chairman is absent.

Sergeant of Arms – Assists the Chairman and Vice Chairman, and is in charge if either the Chairman or Vice Chairman is absent. They check out guests, carries the emergency cards at all times, appoints his own staff, helps maintain order at all functions.

Secretary/Treasurer – Keeps notes at meeting, does paperwork, contacts Road Flyers Riding Association about various functions, prints monthly newsletter, and appoints others to help out if needed. Also handles all Road Flyers Riding Association finances.

Road Captains – Develops good routes on runs, helps out Sergeant of Arms, helps keep the group together on rides, helps maintain safety and helps out people who break down, may ride ahead of the group at the request of Chairman. Blocks traffic at lights.

Event Coordinator – Puts together association events (ie: runs, benefits, parties) the event coordinator will assign a team to assist him/her in this position.

MEETINGS

Meetings are held once a month.
Chairman conducts meetings.
Bi-monthly meetings for board members.
All members and associates will have a voice, however the board members make the final decision.

Road Flyers Riding Association is a private social group, and we reserve the right to refuse membership to anyone for any reason. We reserve the right to grant and/or remove membership to any member at any time, with or without reason.

Road Flyers Riding Association does not discriminate against those who have been convicted of crimes or who may have questionable pasts. Road Flyers Riding Association is interested in who you are now, not who you were then.

I agree that the Road Flyers Riding Association, and their respective officers, directors, employees and agents (hereinafter, the “RELEASED PARTIES”) shall not be liable or responsible for injury to me (including paralysis or death) or damage to my property occurring during any Road Flyers Riding Association activities and resulting from acts or omissions occurring during the performance of the duties of the “RELEASED PARTIES” even where the damage or injury is caused by negligence (except willful neglect). I understand and agree that all Road Flyers Riding Association members and their guests participate voluntarily and at their own risk in all Road Flyers Riding Association activities. I release and hold the “RELEASED PARTIES” harmless from any injury or loss to my person or property which may result from my participation in Road Flyers Riding Association activities and EVENT(S). I UNDERSTAND THAT THIS MEANS THAT I AGREE NOT TO SUE THE “RELEASED PARTIES” FOR ANY INJURY OR RESULTING DAMAGE TO MYSELF OR MY PROPERTY ARISING FROM, OR IN CONNECTION WITH, THE PERFORMANCE OF THEIR DUTIES IN SPONSORING, PLANNING OR CONDUCTING SAID EVENT(S).
